About Us

group about

Toronto Titans Field Hockey is a non-profit organization affiliated with Field Hockey Ontario and Field Hockey Canada.  We are the only club in Ontario to field teams in every division – Youth, Juniors, Seniors, Masters – both male and female.  We provide opportunities to enjoy the sport at a development level as well as to progress in the sport at a high performance or elite level.  We participate in all local, regional and provincial tournaments, and regularly travel overseas to offer our players exposure at an international level.

We are proud of our several achievements both on an individual and team basis.  We emerged as the club with the highest level of achievements for the past several years in Ontario. Our record earned us the title of FHO’s Junior Provincial Club of the year for the past two consecutive years! Our achievements have included: the highest number of club players on Ontario’s provincial teams on both the men’s and women’s sides, the most carded players, as well as the largest representation on the provincial coaching staff. In addition, several of our athletes who started at the grassroots level with the club have progressed to represent Canada on its junior and senior national teams.   We have also made our mark on the international scene by competing in tournaments in USA, Poland and Australia – our notable international achievements include: the 2005 Gold Medal in the Men’s Division at the Big Apple Indoor Tournament in New York; the 2006 Gold Medal in the U16 Boys Division at the California Cup in Los Angeles; and the 2008 Runners-up place in the U18 Girls Trophy Division at the Hockeyfest Tournament in Australia!

Our coaching team consists of experienced national and provincial coaches who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure that our athletes receive the optimal level of coaching.  Our club also strongly supports the development of coaches by providing aspiring athletes the opportunity to attend coaching courses and to be mentored in-house by our experienced coaches.

Our club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who dedicate their time and administrative talents to facilitate the smooth operation of our club’s affairs.  This committed group also takes on the huge challenge of organizing fund-raising activities in order to subsidize the costs of participation and competition, and thereby increase accessibility and affordability of the club’s programs to a wider spectrum of the community.

As Titans, our philosophy is to facilitate the development of athletes in an environment that fosters fun, camaraderie and learning not only of the sport but also life skills.  The fact that we continue to soar to new record heights, year after year, is a tribute to the hard work, dedication and commitment of a team that BELIEVES – the key to our success!
